Students run their own business- "Trojan Iron Works" with a cnc machine "PlasmaCam" which is controlled by a computer. Students learn how to design projects (computer-aided-drafting) on a set of nine year old Microsoft laptop computers in the classroom. The problem is that the nine year old laptops are crashing! Apple (Mac) computers will not operate the machine or support the design software. We currently have a set of 20 of these old computers, but are down to a couple that are dependable. I would ask that even four new computers will help students out greatly. Our school is dominated by Mac computers.
