These materials will provide my students with an independent reading experience and provide my EL students with a model for oral language. Pre-K children love to be read to and enjoy hearing intonations of the readers voice. This can be provided with the read along books while children listen during Center Time. Currently we only have books and puppets in our Library Center. Adding a Listening Center to our environment, would enhance the Library Center and encourage children's love of books!
When children are listening to stories being read aloud to them they are developing critical comprehension skills. Please help my students receive this Listening Center and read along books to foster literacy and expand their vocabulary!
