My classroom is often described as a multilevel Reading Lab where intensive, explicit and systematic instruction is provided 5 days per week, 1 hour per day to students that have been diagnosed with dyslexia. Academic support is also extended to students in their general education setting as well.
My students are hard working, intelligent and often gifted students that struggle with reading, spelling and handwriting.
It is my desire through this project to provide technology that will assist them with reading assignments and leisure reading.
YES, I said leisure reading, because my students do LOVE to read and be read to. This project can help my students enjoy the stories and information found in books that may otherwise not be available to them.
