Our 7th grade English class has taken on the "40 Book Challenge," and we have committed to reach our goal this year. It is so important for students to set and reach goals, to feel successful through hard work, and to be challenged.
We have adopted the theme of "Literacy is Life" this year, and getting my kids excited to read is both the hardest and most rewarding job that I have.
This is why we need exciting books in our classroom library. I am desperate to get my kids excited about reading, “Reading changes your life, reading unlocks worlds unknown or forgotten, taking travelers around the world and through time. Reading helps you escape the confines of school and pursue your own education." Donalynn Miller, The Book Whisperer.
