The materials in this project are essential to my students in so many ways. Guided reading books are amazing tools in building a students reading ability. When students are provided with appropriately leveled books, they are able to access some of the text, but also build on skills that may be challenging for them. Guided reading books that are also relevant to struggling readers also help foster a love of reading. Reading is a core skill that students will need to access in all subject areas. These books will be an excellent tool to help students strengthen their reading ability and to broaden their ability to access print in a variety of settings.
