The classroom transformation materials I am requesting for my students will be put to great use. These items will help me to create various classroom transformations including, Super Mario, glow day, construction, boot camp, courtroom, and restaurant classroom transformations. Each of the items will be used in a specific transformation with some of them being used across transformations. The tarps, plastic sheeting, and party backdrops will be used to surround our classroom and set the stage for each transformation.
The Super Mario materials will give students the illusion of being inside of an actual video game as they review various literary skills. The tablecloths will be used to help create and sell the experiences. The black robe and gavel will aid in creating a courtroom experience in my classroom while students search for and use text evidence. The construction materials will aid in the construction of multi-paragraph essays and full sentences. Students will learn to build strong words using different word parts. The surgical materials and operation game will help students break apart or perform surgery on a complex text. The pie face game and picnic signs will aid students in the learning author’s purpose and poetry.
Your donation to this project will help to improve student engagement and increase attendance by providing students with an extra incentive for coming to school. Studies have shown that classroom transformations have the ability to alter a classroom environment greatly. As a teacher in a Title I school, I desperately want to make this happen for my students. I desire to give them a learning experience, unlike any other experience they have ever had. Your donations will help me to do just that.
