Support Ms. Kim's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
As we prepare to head back to our classroom this September, I need to look at how play, an integral part of children's development, can still be safely integrated into our Pre-kindergarten classroom.
Play is a key component in the academic and social and emotional growth of children.
As an educator, I really need to think outside of the box now as to how this can be safely accomplished. I plan to give each child in my class an individual Kinetic sand box, providing my students with opportunities to build, create, and use their imaginations while playing safely. Children will learn how to take care of and be responsible for his or her own Kinetic sand box.
These individual sensory boxes will help my students develop fine motor skills, functional language skills, and vocabulary while they are playing with sensory sand and keeping the joy in our early childhood classroom!
