Most teachers at my school don't have working pencil sharpeners which is a challenge because students go through many pencils a day and there are sometimes not enough sharp pencils for the day so students don't have anything to write with and cannot complete their work. Teachers can only sharpen pencils when they can borrow a sharpener from someone else, and there are very few available.
Students should have access to sharp pencils so that they can continue learning throughout the day. Teachers need pencil sharpeners in order to make sure students can sharpen pencils during the day so that they don't run out.
