My classroom is filled with brilliant young minds, who have an intense focus on getting to college. Many of my students will be the first in their family to attend college. My school, Roseland Collegiate Prep (RCP), is a public charter school that primarily serves students from the Roseland community in Santa Rosa, California. RCP is a Title 1 school, with a focus on college readiness for our students.
I enjoy showing my students the connections between math and science and the outside world, and the beauty the combination can create.
In addition to teaching, I also run a Robotics and Tech Club for the high school students, and a STEM Club for our middle school students. These kids are ready to take on jobs that we don't yet know exist, and I enjoy giving them a place to explore technology and be challenged outside of the classroom curriculum.
