We are an awesome group of students at SLAMS, Science Leadership Academy Middle School. We are located in West Philadelphia, and have an extremely diverse population. Currently, we are leasing classroom space from Drexel as we await funding for our new building. At SLAMS, we focus on hands-on, relevant, project-based learning. Students follow our core values: Inquiry, Research, Collaboration, Presentation, and Reflection. Our Techsplorations class is a combination technology and makerspace classroom. We learn about many different tech tools, and collaborate with the core subject classrooms to do hands on projects related to their curriculum. We're always trying to expand our program and find more ways to connect to our community.
