We are truly working hard in third grade! This year I have a total of fifteen energetic students who are very eager to learn. Twelve of those students stay in the classroom all day long every day. Two of my students receive assistance in ELA from the resources teacher. Another one of my students goes to B.E.A.C.H (gifted and talented program) every Monday. There are 8 girls (3 Caucasian, 3 African American and 2 Hispanic) and 7 boys (7 African American). My school is a Title I school and my students are from a low to middle class background . One hundred percent of the student population receives free breakfast and lunch. While my students face a lot of disadvantages and difficulties due to the fact that they come from a low socioeconomic background they do not let that stop them from trying their best at all times. The love that they have of learning truly inspires me to teach to reach each child.
