The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." We have a designated room for the Leveled Library. The Leveled Library will help teachers and students have access to updated reading materials at all reading levels. Our student population consists of ELL student all across the globe.
60% of our population speaks a second language. This calls for the need of materials that will help them grow in language acquisition, reading strategies, and skills. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of the English language and give them the opportunity to work with materials appropriate to their reading levels. Teachers would not have to spend their own money on individual classroom resources or use texts that are outdated and, many times, torn. We will use these materials to aid us in the process of becoming life-long readers. As the teacher, I have done extensive research on ELL students and Reading Instruction with appropriate resources. However, with the number of students needing to be supported and the amount of resources needed, I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
