In my classroom I have a range of reading abilities. This year we are utilizing center rotations for our English and Language Arts block. By providing audio books and a listening center, I am giving all of my students the chance access literacy skills independently!
It is my hope that students will gain exposure to a wide variety of texts: informational, fantasy, realistic fiction, and more!
Students will use the audio books daily in the listening center during our ELA block. By providing each student (a group of two or three) their own book, they will have the chance to look closely at the words, and pictures throughout the book. With the help of audio books, my students will gain additional literacy skills that will help encourage their love of reading!
