I believe in the power of holding a text in your hands with information that motivates and inspires you to make a positive impact on your world! My students are creative, innovative thinkers that need background knowledge about the world around them so that they can find how they can best use their talents and skills as a global citizen. Providing texts that represent diverse people and places allows my students to see their story in others. This develops empathy and a sense of responsibility for the future of our country and planet. Empowering students to be aware of what is happening globally is important to me! They have so much to offer this world and a unique purpose they are here to fulfill!
