My students come from low income, and/or single parent homes. Many have been displaced from HurryHarvey. And due to Harvey our school has had to move from our main campus to another campus with very little resources.
Science is hard to understand without the concrete learning that happens with hands-on activities. It is vital for them to see how things work in Science with examples of the topics we are learning. By donating to our project my students will learn and thrive in Science and will greatly improve their understanding and competency in scientific methods.
I try to give my students every opportunity to have hands on labs and experiences, but it can get very costly. Asking the students to bring in supplies or money to help defray the cost, can put more pressures on their households. Any donations would be greatly appreciated!!!
