My goal is that my students leave my class at the end of the year as full-fledged readers who choose their own books to read. Students and I talk regularly about their reading selections, and with this project, students will have access to titles that are lacking from our classroom library. The books I have chosen are either new, of high interest or relevancy to my students, or fill in some of the gaps in our classroom library. These books will be in the hands of students the day they arrive. The end goal is improve student literacy and develop a hobby of reading.
