Our students often forget their water bottles at home and we usually do not have any to spare. Some do not even have water bottles to bring. Arizona has extremely hot weather and students are in need of water after recess and switching classes.
Students can use small cups to fill through out the day without missing instruction time to do so. Typically, they need to use the drinking fountain, which is often warm and not refreshing. If students are hydrated, they have an increased attention span, which benefits their learning. We have also discussed saving the use of plastic water bottles and they would love to add to that movement.
