Support Mrs. Dalessio's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
The donations to this project will purchase a Hue HD document camera and two flexible seating chairs for my classroom. Each will be used for different things. The document camera for presentations, writing, video chatting with other schools, and being able to display a paper or student’s work immediately and project it to the whole class. The flexible seating is used in the classroom so students who prefer to learn in an atmosphere that it a little bit more relaxed than the traditional row type seating can do so with ease. It also provides different areas of the classroom where students can go and read or work in a quiet place.
In addition, these items will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful reading, writing, and technology. As we sail through the 21st century, technology in the classroom is becoming more and more predominant. Tablets are replacing our textbooks, and we can research just about anything that we want to on our smartphones. The way we use technology in the classroom has changed a great deal over the past decade. It is of utmost importance to ensure that our students are ready for their futures and engage them in hands-on activities that excite them.
