It is October and my students are having trouble managing their books in the constantly ripping Ziploc bags they are using. A set of durable book boxes will allow them to more easily manage their growing reading catalogs. As readers grow their skill set they need as many opportunities as possible to interact with a wide variety of texts. The more texts they read, the better they will do in all academic areas. Sit spots will allow my students to find their place on the carpet safely and quickly because they will clearly understand where their spot is. Because we transition to the carpet frequently, it is important that students get their quickly to maximize instructional time.
