Due to the learning loss related to the COVID-19, guided reading time has become an integral part of our classroom. Research shows that the best way to teach reading comprehension is to increase content knowledge.
The books in this project are non-fiction books intended to be used for the purpose of increasing content knowledge. They will be used to examine text structure and learn how to decipher the meaning of complex texts. The art materials will be used to integrate the arts into the subject matter in order to increase motivation. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our efforts to bridge the learning gap.
