Ms. Daise will explain how storytelling helps us understand diversity, celebrate inclusion, and break down barriers through our personal tales.
Ms. Daise will engage students in an interactive storytelling workshop in which students develop empathy and respect for others by telling personal and traditional stories from another’s perspective. She will help students understand how to tell a story to bring history alive. Students will understand the importance of studying literature and stories.
She will also share with students a journey through the stories, songs, language, history, and culture of the Gullah community.
