Flexible seating will give them a chance to fidget in their seats while still learning, without distracting. My students are very active and love to move. Providing them constructive opportunities to do so they are less likely to disrupt.
Flexible seating options would help engage students in their learning!
Different seating options will help students move around without distracting them from learning. It also will allow students to feel comfortable in their classroom. Once students are comfortable in their classroom they are willing to take risks with their learning. The students are willing to attempt to answer questions that they may not be sure of answers. Currently my students sit on the floor when they would like to in a different area of the classroom which can be uncomfortable for them. I have purchased floor pillows for another flexible seating option for my students, but would love to provide them with more options!
In our grade level, we are 30 headphones between 3 classes for a total of 8 students. Approximately, half of our headphones do not work or will not connect into the Chromebooks. The wireless headphones will provide our students an opportunity to connect wirelessly.
