I have my students take a hands-on approach to learning. A majority of what we do in class has them up, moving, or discussing. Most of the activities the students do, involve having the kids find room on the floor, or in the hallway because they do not have enough room at their small desks. Everyone is constantly stepping over one another. I love having the students collaborate and work in groups.
Large tables would help the kids work more efficiently. I am excited by the idea of the students sitting together in groups. These tables will foster a collaborative learning environment. It will also make the use stations successful.
