Make a donation Mrs. Jeffries can use on her next classroom project.
With your donation you will be providing materials to allow my students to see their own unique races, cultural backgrounds, families, and abilities. Materials like multicultural puppets, block figures, and emotion blocks will allow my students to act out stories using props that represent themselves. The support dog, glasses, and hearing aids will allow my students to feel more comfortable and confident while wearing any specialized equipment. The multicultural art paper will allow my students to create detailed self portraits or pictures of their family.
These materials will allow children to see themselves and their own unique families, abilities, and cultures represented in the classroom it will also provide students with the opportunity to learn about others who may differ from themselves. Students will be taught about acceptance and inclusion through the use of these materials. I hope that the students who leave my classroom go on to become activist for themselves as well as those around them and I believe these materials will make that a possibility.
