Exercise is one of life's most powerful tools for the growth and development for us as humans. Being able to exercise regularly increases learning capacity, positively affects one's mental health, and reduces stress and depression. When you exercise, your body releases endorphin and serotonin into your body that improves your mood and makes you feel great. It can also reduces your blood sugar levels which are a main cause of distraction for us as humans. By lowering our blood sugar levels, our students will be able to concentrate more in class and stay on task more regularly. The donations of exercise equipment that I am requesting will directly correlate with my plan for this school and help our students any many facets of thier life.
Our specific population has many of our students going home to a household environment that can be unhealthy physically and emotionally. Having the opportunity to come to school and exercise would give them the ability to find a healthy way to deal with their problems. Misbehavior and misdirection seems to be a trend for a lot of our students and by having this healthy alternative to their typical decisions for coping with life would help redirect their misbehavior and misdirection into something positive and healthy.
