I struggle every day with using the limited technology we have to make my reading centers a success. My students should have the same opportunity as students who are in more affluent areas. Funds are very limited in my district. Giving my students access to newer technology will provide them the practice in listening and comprehension. Having a set of 10 tablets will allow my reading groups to have the opportunity to listen to and comprehend stories and also do some online research. These tablets will also provide my limited English students opportunities to use various apps to learn basic reading skills when I am unable to work with them.
