Our students come from all over the greater city of New Orleans. Many kids are coming from low income households, and do not have some of the resources they need for learning at home. For some of our students, school is a safe haven getaway, and one of the only places that they can use technology and read books. We foster a safe and orderly learning environment and work hard each day as a team to make our school the best place it can be for our kiddos.
In our science class we work hard to understand materials every day. There is a multitude of different learning settings going on, from hands-on inquiry based labs and activities, to guest speakers, classroom skits, and independent computer work. Students are always in need of pencils as it is their first step to being prepared for class.
We appreciate you for taking the time to learn more of our classroom and help us achieve our goals!
With gratitude,
Ms. Casey
