The Next Generation Science Standards require my 4th grade kiddos to develop and use models, carry out investigations, and construct explanations. Students must be able to use evidence to construct an explanation relating the speed of an object to the energy of that object.
Using the Hotwheels Speedometry lessons and Hotwheels supplies, students experience STEM learning through play! The lessons encourage problem-solving and give students the opportunity to apply scientific ideas to design, test, and refine a device that converts energy from one form to another.
Students learn more when they are engaged and can build skill through hands-on, real-life experiences. The Hotwheels Speedometry offers just that. Using Hotwheels tracks, gravity clamps, and a variety of Hotwheel cars, students build, test, and explain the relationships between forces and motion. We look forward to experiencing this first-hand, and through our own design.
