Our school is a public school located in rural Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana established in 1988. Our school is one of four public high schools in Terrebonne Parish and encompasses grades 9 through 12. Currently, there are 1012 students enrolled at our school with 78% of enrolled students qualifying for free or reduced lunch and 9% are classified as special education. The student demographics consist of 33.4% Caucasian, 36.8% African-American, 19.6% Native-American, 9.2% Hispanic, and 1.1% Asian. I teach Biology I classes and sponsor our school's Biology club. I teach 150 10th graders and have 54 members in my club. My students are very diverse academically from gifted to Special Ed to students who speak very little English.
