We strive to create a classroom filled with new and exciting themes and activities that make learning fun and exciting for every child in the classroom. The toys that we are purchasing will help us achieve that goal on a daily basis. Our students have a wide variety of need, some are motivated by light, sound or movement (rainbow blocks, activity center block and pound and play tower), others are interested in small objects that can be manipulated and provide tactile stimulation (sensory water beads, sensory tactile set, and balancing tree), while others are beginning to demonstrate interests in specific topics and themes and are experimenting with sharing, taking turns, communicating their needs and wants and participating in imaginative/dramatic play (princess block set, rocket ship play set, and vehicle set). Each of the toys selected for our project can be incorporated into our classroom themes, address goals or objectives for each of our students, and will be used to help our students grow in each area of their developmental skills. We greatly appreciate your help in assisting us with reaching this goal!
