We need supplies that are essential for my students growth and development. The white board/clipboard combos will serve for multiple purposes in our room! The students will use the white boards to practice writing words, sentences, and math problems. They can take these wherever they choose to work around the classroom and because they are also clipboards they can use them to take paperwork with them too! The math counters will help my students especially as we move into learning to count larger numbers and adding and subtracting. It's so important for my students to have hands-on visuals at their disposal.
The wobble chairs and stability ball chairs will allow my students the ability to wiggle while they are working and help not only stay focused but also help build important core muscles that young children need.
Students need the ability to be proactive in their own learning. I believe that students, especially in Kindergarten, need to be taught to make good choices about their own learning environments. Funding this project will help my students be able to make choices about where they can work and find seating choices and manipulatives that work best for them and help them reach their full potential!
