Our Life Skills class has students in grades K-5. So, we have students ages 6 to 12. that are all different heights and sizes. We have older tables and desks that are difficult to adjust and move around. The new desks can be use individually or put together for group activities. Our chairs are old and cracked. The new chairs offer bouncing which provides sensory input for our students.
The desks have wheels and can be moved around as student needs change throughout the day. The top of each desk is like a whiteboard for students to practice with writing tools.
Students in our Life Skills class struggle with learning due to Intellectual Disabilities, Speech Impairments, low Vision, Autism, and a variety of rare syndromes.
