My Grandview kindergarten-third grade students thrive in our Library Media Center. At our school, we pride ourselves on our meeting the diverse needs of our students. Most of my students are emergent readers, yet everyone of my littles is eager to find literature, cooperatively learn, and be challenged while having fun during the process! The mission of the library media center program is to provide an inclusive environment which promotes a love of reading, and lifelong learning. By preparing 21st century learners to become effective researchers, critical thinkers, problem solvers, and communicators, the library program is a vital part of the entire school community. I strive to expose students to a large variety of literature with the goal of instilling a lifelong love of reading. To integrate technology, I provide students with a variety of resources to meet the needs, interests, learning styles, and cultures.
