I am requesting 5 wobble chairs for my students to use in small group counseling sessions. Currently, we hold groups on the carpet in the counseling office, but that can also create boundary issues. The wobble chairs will allow each individual student to have their own chair, while also allowing flexible seating to move freely.
The students at my school benefit from movement during learning activities, and these wobble chairs provide students an appropriate way to get their movement input while still following our group rules.
Students are better able to learn when they are comfortable, and can receive the movement input they need to keep their feet and bodies busy, while still learning and focusing on the lesson. The wobble chairs mimic using an exercise ball as a seat, but with more control for the student. These chairs will provide an outlet for restlessness and extra energy, while keeping kids active while seated.
