Our Computer Lab has been evolving! Each of the students at our school come to our computer lab once each week so it was the perfect place to put our school's first and only 3D printer, which we bought last year. The students are very excited about having a 3D printer in our classroom!
We've learned about how 3D printers work and watched ours print, but the real learning and joy will come as students create and design their very own projects. With hundreds of students ready to print, I'm realizing we will need to have plenty of plastic filament.
New computer headphones (to replace our old ones that have been repaired and taped as much as possible) will allow our students to listen and learn 3D printing skills from experts. Our students will also be able to explore the difference between printer ink and calligraphy ink as they create projects for the Chinese New Year for their Chinese Immersion Class.
