My students will be using the plant light cart to plant seeds and grow a variety of different plants. They will study the growth cycle, soil, and plant structure. The students will also be testing the soil. Part of their study will also involve photosynthesis and how plants meet the characteristics of life.
The plant light will allow the students to initiate and contribute to a community by providing vegetables and herbs for the garden.
Since the village does not have a community garden, this would not only greatly contribute to their education and knowledge of plants by them doing a variety of hands-on projects with the plants, it will encourage and enable them to help the community and be a part of it.
