Preschool aged children LOVE coming to school and my mission is to keep it that way! I work to nurture their innate curiosity and desire to learn by encouraging them to ask questions, share thoughts and ideas, try new ways of doing things, demonstrate the skills they are practicing, and to teach and help a friend with a skill they’ve just mastered. When children can stand up at Circle Time and lead their classmates through a song, the calendar, a lesson or a story it boosts their self confidence. When they can write their name, the Letter/Number of the Day, help me tell a story on a felt board or find a specific word on the page of a Big Book in front of their Peers, it is an empowering experience for them, instilling an enormous amount of self pride and accomplishment. Having a double-sided instructional easel that provides the surface areas and all supplies needed, for the afore mentioned learning activities and more, in our Circle Time area will help make whole group instruction run smoothly and seamlessly.
