Imagine your school lying directly on the path of totality for the 2017 Great American Eclipse. This is exactly what our students got to experience just a few months ago. Students from all over the world experienced this once in a lifetime event, which sparked an overwhelming interest in astronomy for our students. Being exposed to so much science, my students are extremely eager to learn all they can about our universe.
Astronomy is a big part of our science curriculum. Students are more eager than ever to learn all they can about our Earth, sun, and solar system. Many students are saying they want to become astronomers or even work for NASA. If students were able to explore the planets and other celestial bodies with the use of a telescope and other astronomy equipment, their curiosities and interests will turn into knowledge and skills that will last them a lifetime. By donating to our project, you will not only help students learn more about our earth and universe, but you may ultimately help a student lead to a pathway of becoming a future astronomer.
