Howdy! My name is Ms. Thomas and I teach Intensive Reading and Intensive Reading+ at Madison Middle School in the Miami-Dade County Public School System. IR and IR+ classes are designed to make students more independent and confident readers as all of my students have reading levels far below their grade level. Most of them have never read a full book. As our school is a Title I, Tier 3 institution, the students' academic progress is heavily supervised. However, they are bright students with a great deal of potential!
