Finding the right book or material could be challenging, even more in Spanish. So, most of my materials are created based on my students' needs. I find myself printing, laminating, cutting and velcroing every week in order to create what I exactly need. This results in spending significant amount of money. Visuals are an essential component to my sessions; these help my students comprehend better, retain information, expand their sentences, increase vocabulary, improve syntax, or simply work as their primary mean of communication (for nonverbal kids). With these materials I'll be creating interactive books, modify picture books by adding visual sentence strips to it, communication books, visual schedules, and anything that might help my students produce language by visualizing it and have a visual prompt to go with it.
