In this crazy time we’re living, I wanted to give my students the opportunity to express themselves. When I push into their classrooms, I want to have individual crayon packs for them so that if they need a breather from sitting in the same room and seat for 4 hours, they can! By providing them an item that is only theirs, I’m able to be sanitary during our mindful and social emotional learning. Coloring, even for middle schoolers, gives us the opportunity to relax and see the world through a different hue.
