Kindergarten is a very important stage in the growth of a child's learning career and many students at this age learn best by having visuals to look at while they learn. I catch many of my students reciting their ABC's as they look at the alphabet that I have displayed in the classroom and this has helped many of them learn upper and lower case letter recognition!
My students need the pocket charts I have selected to have more math visuals to help them learn number recognition, math sense, and counting to 100. This will help them have something visual to look at while we work on our math activities and keep them engaged. These are also things that will build a foundation for their education which is vital so they don't fall behind when they go to first grade.
My students are also in need of storage pockets for the back of their chairs. This will help them have quicker and easier access to their materials so time is not wasted looking for things. Having their materials placed in a more organized manner will allow their attention to be on me or the task at hand instead of searching for things they need.
My students are also learning to read at a rapid rate and the whisper phones will allow them to hear themselves as they read so they can self correct and I can have multiple students reading at one time without a lot of noise and interruption.
