6th and 7th grade math students are developing foundational skills that they will carry with them throughout their math careers. Many of my students are below grade level and don't learn the traditional way. Often when practicing these challenging concepts, it's helpful for them to share their work and discuss their strategies. The document camera has been very useful for this purpose, but we'd like to try to make it more functional within our classroom. Having a cart would allow students to feel more in control of their learning since they would be allowed to use it and teach the class.
