I work in a Kindergarten classroom with both regular education and special education students. My classroom is located in a big city but in a very low poverty area. We aren't given any money from the school to use in our classrooms so everything that we need we have to purchase out of our own pockets. This is truly difficult as I have to also support my own family but I try to provide my students with whatever they may need to be successful and become lifelong learners.
My students are adorable and friendly. They LOVE to be at school and just like any other Kindergarten student, they love exploring the world around them and learning new things. It is just a little more difficult for my students due to their poverty level, lack of learning materials and books at home.
