We have such a wide range of learners in our classroom, it is very diverse, from struggling learners to academically advanced. My students need these bags to increase their learning and extend our lessons. With these bags, I intend to provide mini-lessons that the kiddos can use to help to reinforce topics and subjects that we have just learned. I will make Math and Literacy bags as well as Science and Reading. Some of the literacy bags will include rhyming match games, patterns, CVC words, sentence formation and so much more. I will use the zipper pouches, card stock, and printer ink to help to create over 40 differentiated busy bags for each and every student. I will also use the laminating pouches, to laminate my creations so that they will last from year to year. While making busy bags is going to be so much fun, it can also be pricey. It is so important to me that my students are never bored and are always challenged to their highest potential. The tens frame mat is life size and will help put the concept of teen numbers, decomposing, composing and so much more really come to life. They will be able to use the mat as a hands-on activity as well as being able to move around. We use colored masking tape in our room ALL of the time, whether it be to mark off spaces, measurement, name tags, and even patterning. My students will be so excited to add more colors to our collection.
