My students use a significant amount of energy during the day to engage in the classroom activities and learning going on around them. They are a very important part of their classroom community. After lunch and recess, they have spent the majority of the day with their peers learning essential life and academic skills. They are exhausted and need an opportunity to rest in order to feel refreshed for the rest of the day. These items can help my students feel their best!
The students I work with require multiple breaks in order for them to get the most out of their educational experiences. My students use the floor currently to decompress by drawing, reading, or listening to reading apps. Having bean bag chairs, access to charged Chromebooks, Playdoh, coloring books, and other choice drawing materials provides my students an outlet to relax and be creative. These supplies will create a much more comfortable environment for them to relax and be ready for the rest of the day.
