Having iPads in our classroom will open up learning to over 65,000 different apps. As a teacher this will support me in differentiating instruction to meet the individual needs of my unique students. Having iPads will provide my students with not only 21st century technological skills that are important to thrive in today's society, but will also help make learning come alive for my students. Students will be excited and passionate about their learning when it involves different instructional strategies such as making green screen commercials, collaborating together to make video book reviews, or even making music! The great thing about iPads is that they are mobile and we can take them outside. In math we are learning about arrays in multiplication. The mobility of iPads would allow us to take our iPads outside to look for arrays and take pictures of our learning outside in the real world, making learning really concrete and visual for my students.
