Students in grades K-5 will have the opportunity to practice various techniques in ceramics to create pieces connecting to their grade level STEAM units. Projects will include Leaves and Plant Structures, Native American Art, Colors and Patterns, Fossils and Animal Tracks. In addition students 3-5 will have the opportunity to use block printing as they learn about the history of printing.
The donations for this project will allow students to put their hands on printing materials for the first time ever, and turn them into professionals as they etch and print their own designs. The clay will go a long way and allow all 500+ students the opportunity to create their own ceramic piece this school year, and add a fantastic opportunity to create leaf prints as they study fossils.
