Currently I have 16 first graders on a floor of the school that was designed with upper elementary students in mind. They keep their outdoor gear and backpacks in the hallway, but have no place in the classroom to keep their snacks, drawings, Chapstick, water bottles, etc... I would love to be able to give them each a cubby to keep their items organized. As my first graders become more independent and responsible for classroom materials, they are creating more during their free time and need a space to keep it. Many times their creations end up on the floor, ruined from being stepped on.

About my class
