My amazing readers have gone through all of the books in the current library I have, and they are re-reading the same books! I'm constantly on the hunt for new books to engage the readers at their guided reading level. My students love to read and especially love to talk about the books they are reading. The current library I have is pieced together from many different places, and my readers are constantly asking about new books because they've finished reading all of the books in my classroom. While we have a couple of scheduled trips to the library, my readers are quick to devour their new books and are always on the lookout for more.
The students will use these books to practice the necessary skills for them to become confident and comprehending readers. They are learning how to think about what they are reading and develop ideas to talk about what they are reading. By donating to this project, you are helping to increase student engagement and growth in a fun-disguised package.
